She is her father's favorite. She's brave because she travels without her parents. She pretends to be a man to get a job.
Abu al-Baanat - His name is Malik (king in Arabic). He has seven daughters. He is calm, likes to play chess. He owns a shop in Baghdad and cares a lot about his family. He is poor. He has a brother with 7 sons (The opposite of him).
Jihha - He is a very mean, rich merchant. He's not a nice guy at first, but he becomes nice to Buran. He notices that she is smart, so he gives her money to start her business.

Amin- he is Prince Mahmud's friend and he keeps taking money from Mahmud even though he is a very rich guy and then he becomes very jealous when he finds out that Mahmud hangs out with Nasir more than him.
Uthman- he is very humble of what he have and he is Prince mahmud's childhood friend as well yet he doesn't take money from Mahmud.
